How did you use your own unique ideas in your work?
i took my own imagination of what a penguin's head would look like and set out on the two pinch-pots of a base model to work with
Did you use a source for inspiration, then combine it with your own ideas to make it original? I used the wonderful source of inspiration that is google images. This place inspired me and gave me examples and different views of the majestic penguins of the arctic.
Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project? I learned how to better mold and represent my animal. I think out of all of my projects so far this one was the most successful, it really captures the essence of being that creature and I'm proud to have sculpted it.
Did you gain skill with familiar materials? yes i suppose that flat-clay-tool thingy I'm not sure what its called but it really helped with adding details and important parts of the piece like the wings and head, using various tools and objects around the class like the toothpicks to attach body parts was challenging but had a pretty cool result.
