-What project was your most challenging and why?
My full-body penguin was by far the most challenging and most time-consuming. It took absolutely forever to get the shape and mold of the penguin accurate, it still isn't quite there yet as far as shape goes. Attempting to smooth out an already uneven surface that's very malleable is incredibly difficult and i still have a lot to learn on that front. That said, it was probably the project im most happy with and the one im most proud of, until SOMEONE dropped it on the ground and broke it... still bitter about that one.

-Was there a medium you wished you worked with or worked with more? Why?
I feel like working with natural medium more would have been cool, but honestly it's not that feasible to take every kid outside to gather materials. Nevertheless, i think it would have been interesting to have more projects dedicated to natural, environmental mediums like bark, sticks, leaves, food, etc. I did like the glass firing technique that was interesting. More things like that would have been cool.

-What is art? What makes something art versus a decoration?
Art is all about an expression of creativity, in my case it was my spirit creature the penguin :D. Decoration is essentially an add-on to make something look pretty, there's no real creativity or inspiration there. Think of something like wallpaper lining, something that looks pretty cool, but takes 0 creativity to use, rather than an actual art piece like a clay bowl, that is crafted to your unique tastes and expression techniques. In short, art is an expression of your OWN creativity, decoration is neither of these things.
